Problem: Blank prints or faded prints
Printouts are coming out very faded, blank or with the incorrect colours. This might be due to a blockage in the print nozzles caused by dried ink or an air lock.
Resolution
This problem can easily be remedied by carrying out a simple manual cleaning procedure:
- Dampen a cotton bud in warm water and gently wipe around the print head area at the base of the cartridge.
- Dab the print head onto a clean, absorbent paper towel to filter the ink for 10 minutes. The dry ink should slowly come out and get absorbed to the towel unclogging the head print.
- Clean the contact points in the printer and cartridge using a dry paper towel to gently
Tip: Repeat the process if needed, and always ensure the cartridge is properly seated in the printer after cleaning.
