Problem: Faded Output
Printouts are coming out faded.
Resolution
- If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.
- This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.
Problem: Error (Reseat Cartridge)
The cartridge has been installed into the printer and is producing the error "reseat cartridge"
Resolution
- Some Dell printers have the option to select whether a compatible cartridge is in use. When this option isn't selected and a compatible cartridge is installed it may result in the error "reseat cartridge" appearing.
- To enable this feature access the maintenance menu through the Dell printer and ensure "Non Dell toner" is selected.
Print Settings/ Configuration page
- Press Menu
- Press down to Reports/List and press the checkmark
- Printer Settings and press the checkmark.
