Problem: faded output
Printouts are coming out faded.
Resolution
- If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.
- This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.
How to clean the Colour Toner Density sensor
Clean the CTD sensor only when an alert for the sensor is shown on the Status Monitor or operator panel.
1. Ensure that the printer is turned off.
2. Push the rear cover release handle and open the rear cover.
3. Clean the CTD sensor inside the printer with a clean dry cotton swab.
4. Close the rear cover.
