Problem: Cartridge not recognised or cartridge not clicking in.

The compatible cartridge has been installed correctly but the printer is not registering it as installed, or the cartridge keeps popping out of its slot. This might be due to poor contact between the chip and the reader.

Resolution

  1. Remove the affected cartridge(s) from the printer.

  2. Turn off the printer and wait for 2 minutes.

  3. Gently clean the cartridge chip with a lint-free tissue to remove any dust or debris.

  4. Turn the printer back on and wait for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. Reinstall the cartridge by locating the “PUSH” label on it and pushing firmly until you hear a click, confirming it’s securely in place.

Notes:

  • In rare cases, the cartridge clip may become slightly misaligned or damaged during transit, preventing a proper fit. You can apply gentle pressure to adjust the clip into the correct position.

  • Use a working cartridge as a reference to help identify the proper alignment.
