Problem: Faded Output
Printouts are coming out faded.
Resolution
- If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.
- This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.
Problem: Lines on Page
Printouts have lines on the page, Vertical or Horizontal
Resolution
- Remove and re-insert cartridge
- Check drum (roller Green or blue) for defects being careful not to touch this part
- Clean drum with dry lint free cloth
- Print 5-10 pages to remove potential foreign material under the wiper blade.
- If problem persists install a new cartridge.
Print a Configuration Report
This can be used to obtain information the machine setup, including the serial number, IP Address, installed options and the software version.
- Press the Menu button.
- Press the arrow buttons to scroll to Information and press OK.
- Press the arrow buttons to select Configuration and press OK.
Print a Supplies Page
This information in helpful in assessing how much toner is left in the cartridges.
- Press the Menu button.
- Press the arrow buttons to scroll to Information and press OK.
- Press the arrow buttons to select Supplies Info and press OK.
Print a Demo Page
This can be used to asses the print quality of the printer when resolving a problem.
- Press the Menu button.
- Press the arrow buttons to scroll to Information and press OK.
- Press the arrow buttons to select Demo Page and press OK.
