Installation Instructions 

How to clean the printhead:

  • Each box contains one cleaning wipe which the customer can use if there's an error with the cartridge:

How to replace the cartridge:

  • From Ready Mode, press Menu key. Using the arrow keys, or the appropriate number key, move the cursor to CARTRIDGE and press to confirm.
  • Select the REMOVE option from the CARTRIDGE menu
  • Press OK to confirm
  • Open the machine top cover
  • Press down & forward on the Ink Cartridge to release it
  • Carefully withdraw the used Ink Cartridge and discard
  • Remove the new Ink Cartridge from its packaging and carefully remove the tape seals
  • Place the new Ink Cartridge into its holder. Hold the Cartridge down with light pressure on the top and firmly push the Cartridge rearwards until it clicks into position.
  • Close the machine top cover and press OK


Problems you might encounter 

Problem: Printing half labels/ pages

The printer is only printing half labels/ pages

Resolution

  • This problem is caused by a blockage in the print head
    • Use an alcohol wipe (included in each box) to thoroughly clean the print head
    • After perform a test print and head alignment using the on screen menu

 

Problem: Printing blank pages / Fading on print/ No Output

Printouts are coming out very faded or blank

Resolution 1

  • Use the wipe included with each cartridge to clean the printhead (See above)

Resolution 2

If Resolution 1 doesn't work:

  • Perform 2-3 head cleans/nozzle cleans
  • To Perform a Printhead Clean:
1. From Ready mode, press the Menu key and scroll to the Cartridge display
2. Press OK to confirm
3. Scroll to clean
4. Press OK to confirm
5. On completion of the cleaning process the display will return to the Cartridge Clean display
6. Scroll to Test Print
7. Insert a blank envelope or card into the machine to make a test print
8. The display prompts to set the alignment. Enter the number that provides the straightest vertical line
9. Press OK to return to Ready mode
