Problem: Error (Non genuine item)
Cartridge is reporting that it's a non genuine product
Resolution
We are currently investigating this problem. To help us find the solution please can you carry out one the following steps to print the menu map:
Either:
Use the Online button
- 1. Press the Online button to take the printer off-line.
- 2. Press and hold down the Online button for at least four seconds, but less than seven seconds.
- 3. The printer prints a list of the menu settings and a demo print page.
Or:
Use the Configuration Tool
- 1. Select Start > All Programs > Okidata > Configuration Tool and select the Configuration Tool.
- 2. Click the B411 icon in the left panel.
- 3. Click the Device Setting tab.
- 4. Click the MENU SETTING button.
- 5. Click USER MENU.
- 6. Click INFORMATION MENU.
- 7. Click the EXECUTE button beside PRINT MENU MAP.
Once your printer has printed this menu map. Please can you report the current firmware that you're using (It will be written on one of these pages).
Problem: Faded Output
Printouts are coming out faded.
Resolution
- If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.
- This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.
