-
Power Off the Printer
Turn off the printer before starting the installation process. -
Remove Old Cartridges
Open the printer cover and carefully remove any old or used cartridges. -
Prepare the New Cartridges
Take the new compatible cartridges out of their packaging. Remove the yellow protective tape from each cartridge—do not touch the chip or the ink nozzles. -
Install the New Cartridges
Insert each cartridge into its corresponding color slot. Press down firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely in place. -
Close the Printer Cover
Once all cartridges are installed, close the cover and power the printer back on.
Problem: the ink cartridge is not recognised
The cartridge has been installed correctly but the printer is not registering it as installed.
Resolution:
- Remove the tape: check if any protective tape or seals need to be removed from the cartridges.
- Clean contacts: gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer with a lint-free cloth.
- Reset the printer: try resetting the printer's memory by turning it off for 2 minutes and then back on.
