With Brother consumables, you have to manually reset the counter
to let
the machine know an item has been replaced.
- Make sure the machine is turned on.
- Make sure the machine's cover is closed.
- Press and hold Toner for about five seconds.
- Press Drum
- Select the toner colour for the drum unit you just replaced. and then press OK.
- Press Yes key to reset the drum counter.
My prints are faded
- If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock it side to side.
- This movement helps distribute the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- After rocking the cartridge 5–6 times, reinsert it and print a test page.
- If the issue persists, check the life of maintenance items in case they need replacing.
I'm seeing marks on the page
- Toner powder contamination can be found under the printer’s paper feed roller, often due to dust and toner build-up.
- Clean the printer’s paper feed roller thoroughly to remove any toner powder or dirt.
- After cleaning or replacement, print a test page to verify if the issue is resolved.
