Problem: Faded Output

Printouts are coming out faded.

Resolution

• If the print quality is poor, remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.

• This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.

• After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.

Problem: Streaky Output

Printouts are coming out streaky.

Resolution

• Remove the toner cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from side to side.

• This movement helps distribute to the toner evenly within the cartridge.

• After rocking the cartridge 5-6 times, re-insert the cartridge into the printer and print a test page.

Problem: Text blurred in centre of page 

Printouts have text blurred with lines in centre of page fading towards end of page (Fig 1)

Resolution

• If toner has just been installed - print out a few pages (5-10)
• This should help clear off any excess toner and improve image quality

Problem: Colour down side of page

Printouts have colour running down page (Fig 2)

Resolution

• If toner has just been installed - print out a few pages (5-10)
• This should help clear off any excess toner and improve image quality

Problem: Error (Cartridge is not compatible)

The cartridge has been correctly installed but the printer is reporting the cartridge as "Incompatible".

Resolution

• Remove the affected cartridge from the printer

• Wipe the gold contacts on the back of the cartridge with a dry, lint free cloth.

• Re-install the cartridge into the printer

Problem: Red printer light flashing

During usage the red printer light flashes

Resolution

• This is caused when the cartridge is at end of life.

• If the cartridge isn't at end of life, remove the cartridge from the printer and gently rock the cartridge from left to right.
