Error "NO TONER"
The compatible cartridge has been installed correctly but the printer is reporting "NO TONER" error during printing, indicating that the chip suddenly cannot be detected.
Resolution
- Turn off the printer: ensure the printer is powered off before starting.
- Remove the toner cartridge: open the printer’s front cover and carefully remove the toner cartridge from the printer.
- Inspect the chip: check the toner cartridge for any loose or dislodged chip (the small component on the side of the cartridge). If the chip is loose or moving around, it needs to be fixed.
-
Reposition the chip: gently push the chip back into its proper slot on the cartridge. Ensure it is securely in place.
-
Optional: if the chip is still loose or unstable, you may need to apply a small amount of glue to keep it in place. Be sure to use a minimal amount of glue to avoid damaging the cartridge or printer.
-
- Reinstall the toner cartridge: Place the toner cartridge back into the printer, ensuring it is properly seated and secure.
- Power on the printer: Turn the printer back on and check if the "No Toner" error is resolved.
- Test the cartridge: Print a test page to confirm the printer is working properly.
